September Reception Admissions
As parents or carers, choosing a school for your child can be challenging. Most of us have been through the process ourselves so we understand. We’d like to help you and we'd love to meet you. We'd be delighted to walk you around the school, answer any questions and help through any questions around the admissions process if needed.
We are a well-established school. We work to prepare our children for secondary school of which there are many to choose from locally. We are well placed to support families with these choices as we work with and have established relationships with all secondary schools in the county and have been continually developing this for many years.
Our children are well supported, are challenged and inspired by our excellent staff, who aim to provide an extraordinary education that brings out the best in all of our young people, regardless of their ability or background. By being a part of Extend Learning Academies Network we work very closely together with our other schools across the area. Because of this we have access to large sports, cultural and arts events. Working together, our teachers are able to consistently broaden their skills in foundation subjects such as art, music and sports/PE.
Prospective parents are always welcome to visit the school to meet with the Headteacher, Mrs Heidi Hudd, and see the school in action. Please telephone us on 01934 629145 to make an appointment.
The school’s admission arrangements allow for entry of disabled pupils whose needs can be satisfactorily met within a main school setting. Access points for children with wheelchairs are in place in many areas of the school. In addition, there is a purpose built disabled toilet.
Children Starting School September 2026

You can still make a late application, but you will need to make a paper application instead. You can download an application form or contact the school office if you need assistance with obtaining an application form.
Further information can be found in the Starting Schools booklet, or you can contact School Admissions by email admissions@n-somerset.gov.uk or telephone 01275 884078/ 01275 884014 or post: School Admissions Team, North Somerset Council, Town Hall, Walliscote Grove Road, Weston-super-Mare BS23 1UJ
If your child attends our preschool and is in receipt of early years pupil premium or service premium, our admission arrangements have a supplementary information form (SIF) to be completed and submitted with your application for school (this includes online and paper applications). The SIF form should be completed and sent directly to the school.
