Visit from Great Athletes

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I am writing to inform you of an exciting event taking place at our school on Friday 20th March. We are pleased to announce that Great Athletes will be visiting us, similar to last year when the event was a tremendous success. This year, we are honoured to welcome Karina Hart, a renowned Paralympic sprinter, who will inspire our children with her achievements and experiences.

Before the visit, Mr Lox will be conducting an assembly to highlight the importance of perseverance and dedication in sports. This assembly will provide an excellent opportunity for our children to engage with a professional athlete and learn valuable life lessons. In preparation for this event, the children will be bringing home sponsorship forms, which will help support our school and promote participation in physical activities. The events are based on a sponsorship initiative. From the grand total of the money raised, a small participation fee is deducted to cover the base cost of running the scheme. The rest of the money is split 60/40. 60% goes to the school to spend on new sports equipment or on a programme to improve physical activity and well-being. 40% goes to Great Athletes to help fund the athletes and the scheme.

We believe that this event will not only motivate our children but also foster a sense of community and support for one another. We encourage you to discuss this visit with your children and support their involvement by considering sponsorship. Your encouragement can make a significant difference in their enthusiasm and commitment to participating in this initiative.
