We have won a GOLD award!

Windwhistle Primary School is celebrating an outstanding sporting achievement after being awarded the highly respected Gold School Games Award. The School Games is a national programme that recognises schools that deliver high‑quality PE, inclusive sport, and a wide range of competitive opportunities for all children. Achieving Gold highlights the school’s strong commitment to physical education and its dedication to providing exceptional opportunities for every child to be active, confident, and successful.

Under the leadership of PE Lead, Harry Lox, Windwhistle has continued to strengthen and enrich its PE provision through a bespoke curriculum offer designed specifically around the needs, interests, and ambitions of its children. This tailored approach ensures that every child experiences a broad, exciting, and inclusive range of physical activities. From curriculum lessons to inter‑school competitions, sports leaders, and daily physical activity, the school’s programme is built to inspire children and promote a lifelong love of movement.

The Gold Award reflects the enthusiasm of the children, the expertise of staff, and the school’s belief in the importance of physical activity for wellbeing, confidence, and personal development. It recognises the high standards already embedded across the school and celebrates the continued growth of its PE and sport offer.

Windwhistle also extends its thanks to Shane German the School Games Organiser, whose support and guidance have played a key role in helping the school achieve this recognition. His partnership has strengthened competitive opportunities and helped the school continue to develop high‑quality practice across its bespoke curriculum.

This Gold Award is a proud moment for the entire Windwhistle community. It celebrates the school’s commitment to excellence in PE and sport and marks an exciting step forward as it continues to champion an inspiring, inclusive, and ambitious curriculum for all children.
